I have sorted through some more of them and it many of them seem to be taken in a school. Or schools. One is labelled "Survivors of Inter Sci 1915 - Those taking 3 years over finals" and has the one I assume is MBB/EBB in it looking quite young. The next are labelled PPS Lwr V and Up V 1920. I've got some pictures of an old looking building, with no labels. I'm going for Girls School, Preston to see what happens........
I think they are probably the same place.....
........and the one of the Upper Sixth in 1920, compared with one from The Park Old Girls' Association website seems to confirm it.
